CARLSBAD, California, December 10, 2007 – United Studios of Self Defense in Carlsbad (USSD Carlsbad) announced today that the Chief Instructor from their Carlsbad studio has been added as a member of the San Marcos Unified School District’s Wellness Committee. USSD Carlsbad, located at 2624-C El Camino Real, offers a practical Shaolin Kempo martial arts system that assists men, women and children in improving health, confidence, academic performance, as well as strength and overall fitness.

 
The San Marcos Unified School District has been a leader in the areas of Wellness and Nutrition for students in the community. As described in the North County Times article “San Marcos schools nutrition director to focus on healthy eating”, Dena England the Director of Child Nutrition Services is dedicated to assisting students in making healthy choices that will help establish positive lifestyle habits leading to improved health, fitness, and overall wellness. United Studios shares this passion for helping our next generation and is excited to be a part of such an important initiative.
