CARLSBAD, California, December 8, 2007
– United Studios of Self Defense in Carlsbad (USSD Carlsbad) announced today that it offered karate classes at the San Diego Music Studio in San Marcos this November and will be back for the next camp this December. USSD Carlsbad, located at 2624-C El Camino
Real, offers a practical Shaolin Kempo martial arts system that assists men, women and children in improving health, confidence,
academic performance, as well as strength and overall fitness.
Students of all ages stand to gain a variety of wellness benefits that extend from the physical
to mental and even spiritual. Students of all ages have reported increased fitness levels, improved health
and enhanced confidence after making training a part of their lives. “USSD has changed my life in
more ways than one. I suggest that everyone train for the health, self defense, and stress relief benefits,” says Douglas
Del-Zio of USSD Carlsbad.
Kristen Colwell,
Chief Instructor of the United Studios’ Carlsbad school, says that she loves her job because it matches her personal
passion to help and affect as many lives as possible in a positive way. “Our mission, and one that
I hold close to my heart, is to share the magic of the martial arts with as many people as possible. This
training has helped thousands of men, women and children all over the country already, so I feel an obligation to extend this
magic to our community as well,” she said.
