Our studio hosts events in house and takes part in company wide events. In-house events build team spirit and are just plain
fun! Company-wide events offer you an opportunity to further develop your techniques while gaining a stronger understanding
of and connection with the United Studios family. Thousands of students from all over the country participate in our company-wide

Tournaments United Studios of Self Defense
hosts its own tournaments so that students have an opportunity to compete and meet other students from all over the country.
Our tournaments focus on the concept of freindly competition and are meant to help each individual grow. The confidence boost
you will get from performing a Kata in front of the judges and your peers is huge! Plus, by handling the adrenaline rush that
comes from somewhat stressful situations like this, you can get a feel for how you would respond if put in a true self defense

Ninja Nights Our young students
love Ninja Night! We open the studio for a party and optional sleepover once every three months. The party includes loads
of video games and board games, a movie, great food, and on special nights such as Halloween, costume contests and other fun
activities. Talk to an instructor to find out when the next Ninja Night will be.

Seminars United Studios of Self Defense hosts seminars throughout
the year. These special events allow you to learn from the Masters and meet other students from all over the country. We were
lucky enough to have the Shaolin Monks of China available for a seminar in August 2007. Students at the seminar learned Shaolin
forms from the monks and were visited by Professor Mattera and Grandmaster DeMasco. These are once-in-a-lifetime events, so
take advantage of as many as possible to take your training to the next level.

Specialty Classes Team Carlsbad offers specialty classes
in addition to our standard group and private lesson classes. Specialty class topics cover a range of disciplines including
weapons training (bo, nunchaku, kempo sticks, broadsword, etc.), grappling, animal forms, Shaolin forms, Tai Chi, and more.
These classes are offered on a limited time basis and are announced one month prior. Additional fees are required to attend
the classes and the fees generally include the weapon or any additional training equipment that is required for the class.
